What’s New for You & Your Photography

A free portfolio review, side-by-side edit comparisons, more quest inspiration and optional Plus and Pro memberships — the latest updates for your photography.

I spent the weekend working on REVIEWR, adding a few things I’ve wanted to bring to you for a while: a better view of your photography as a whole, a way to compare your edits, and more ideas for what to shoot next.

Here’s what you can now try.

A free portfolio review

A critique can tell you a lot about one photograph. But looking across your work can reveal things you wouldn’t notice in a single image.

Every photographer now gets one full portfolio review for free. It looks at your uploaded photographs to identify recurring strengths, technical habits, and areas worth practicing. It also helps you recognize the style developing across your work.

I’ve brought the main takeaways onto Your Journey, too. Your strongest area, biggest opportunity for improvement, and suggested next step are now right there when you open your dashboard.

Compare your edits and see your progress

I wanted to make it easier to see what happens when you put feedback into practice.

When you re-edit a photograph, REVIEWR now links the revision to the original. You can compare both versions side by side, along with their scores and feedback.

That gives you a clearer picture of what changed and whether your edit achieved what you were aiming for.

More inspiration for your next shoot

Sometimes the hardest part is deciding what to photograph.

I’ve added more variety to the daily and weekly community quests, with challenges around technical prowess or maybe even your favorite subject. But stay tuned. There is much more to come.

By the way. Did you know? Winning a quest earns you XP, a leaderboard crown, and bonus critique credits to use whenever you like.

I’ve also added silver and gold avatar rings for members supporting the project. You’ll see them on critiques, comments, and gallery uploads. It’s a small way for me to recognize the people helping REVIEWR grow.

Your daily critiques stay free

Your two free daily critiques will stay free, forever. They reset every midnight UTC, and you don’t need a credit card or any other payment method.

Every critique also includes one free follow-up question. If a suggestion leaves you wondering how to apply it, you can ask about the composition, color grade, camera settings, or anything else in the feedback.

I want REVIEWR to help you understand your photographs and give you something useful to take into your next shoot.

More critiques when you need them

If you regularly have more photographs to review, I’ve introduced Plus and Pro memberships with higher critique limits and regular portfolio reviews.

For the occasional busy shoot or holiday batch, there are also one-time packs of 10, 30, or 75 credits, without a monthly subscription.

REVIEWR is still a one-person project, and seeing people use it to work on their photography is what keeps me building. Thanks for being part of it.

Give the portfolio review a try. I’d love to hear what you discover about your work.

Thank you for being a part of REVIEWR
